Application Analyst- Finance Module

Job Description:

  • Identify the appropriate software architecture based on the requirements and design elements contained in a system specification.
  • Analyze software requirements, defines solution parameters and specifications.
  • Provide training for knowledge transfer and capacity building of PPA MIS Officers and end users.
  • Conduct formal workshops with the client to gather requirements, displaying knowledge of the business environment in defining the customer’s needs.
  • Engage in the high level planning and implementation methodology of the project.
  • Lead the function design process.
  • Facilitate design workshops
  • Negotiate and manage functional scope to reduce business and technical risks.
  • Develop high-quality presentations to explain business processes (AS-IS and TO-BE)
  • Develop process diagrams for finance, accounting and auditing processes using industry standard tools.
  • Assist software developers with the creation of detailed software design specifications.
  • Perform software version control and maintain periodic compilation schedule.
  • Develop test cases and test manuals.
  • Apply professional mastery and industry-wide understanding of technology, tools and methodologies to develop solutions.
  • Assist finance and accounts department officers in period closing activities and address promptly any teething issues
  • Collaborate with implementation and support experts in solving problems.

Experience, Expertise and Educational Requirement

  • At least 6 (Six years) of experience as application analyst/functional analyst/business analyst.
  • Bachelor in Accounting or Finance or Equivalent. Must provide copy of relevant bachelor certificate.
  • In depth knowledge of functional domains such as: General Ledger, Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, Fixed Assets, Cash Management and Forecasting, Budgeting,
    Intercompany Accounting, Encumbrance Accounting, Subledger Accounting, Treasury Management, Tax Management, Financial Consolidation, Cost Management, IFRS and others.
  • Should be able to review the technical solution designs, configuration aligned with the functional solution.
  • Business Process Modeling Software packages: SmartDraw, MS Visio, Figma etc.
  • Advance level skill on MS PowerPoint and MS Excel.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Employment Type: Contractual (1 year); Renewable annually based on performance.
  • Remuneration: Negotiable
  • Festival Bonus: 2 (100% of Basic Salary) (length of service at least 6-month on the job to be eligible)
